From Etna (Hwy. 3) go South thru Callahan and continue on South on Hwy. 3. When the road forks, go to the right and stay on Hwy. 3 and continue on up to the summit. The Trailhead is right on the summit.
From Weed (I-5 north of Mt. Shasta), continue North past the last Weed exit. The freeway then goes down a long grade. At the bottom of the grade take the Gazelle/ Stewart Springs Rd. exit. Go under the Freeway, and take the Stewart Springs Rd. to the left. Follow this road (FS Road 17) on up to the ridge/summit (about 12 miles). The Trailhead is right on the summit.
